Works well. Better than the kitty litter I've used in the past. It's not as easy to bend to loosen the stuck filler as advertised. The litter is still strewn across the floor as some cats jump over it. In fact, I had a real mess on my floor this morning. There have been questions about pine pellet bedding, and yes, they help capture the pellets. They won't fail, but they will get caught. (I use pellets in one box and clumping light litter in another) I bought the smaller size, I highly recommend a large mat so cats can't miss the mat when coming out of the box. A small rug is a waste of money. The rugs are sent folded, which leaves creases that can easily be repaired. Just lay flat in a warm place and cover with something heavy for half a day. After making these negative comments I would like to say that they seem to be durable, they are definitely better than previous types of toilet mats and cats don't mind walking around. on them. I ordered a larger size. Go shopping, there are currently better prices.
