I have a lot of experience with laptop docking stations at work and at home. Ultra thin is by far the best. If you're used to older MFP designs, which I find to be more durable and bulky, don't be fooled by the ultra-thin device's sleek, compact design. It has all the features you need for multi-screen and multitasking. I appreciate that the VGA port is included, and if you're like me and still have monitors with VGA, you can get a VGA-DP (DisplayPort) adapter for your dock. Getting back to the compact design - it's barely larger than the EliteBook itself and slides in and out easily - no cables or power adapter as the docking station comes with its own power adapter so you can just leave the laptop cord in your travel bag. :-)
