With the Huepar laser in pulse mode, this receiver (protective foil removed) couldn't see the laser more than 40 feet or so. Switching to a less precise mode helped for 10 minutes at best. It was 10 a.m. on a November morning. I tried blocking the receiver from sunlight and that gave me another 30 feet, but not reliably. Definitely a far cry from the range this company advertises so either I got a lemon or there are some fake reviews. I then set everything up on a shady street and the best range with this receiver was still less than 100 feet and it was choppy. Again in less precise mode and laser in pulsed mode as indicated. Not good for anything other than indoor work or possibly night work.
