Review on High-performance Minolta 50mm f1.7 AF Lens: Precise Autofocus for Outstanding Photography by Kendrick Barron

Purchased from "hcstony camera". Classified as "like new". It is save! Well looked after! Very prompt delivery! Ordered on 10/30, delivered on 11/02. Of course it works great on my Minolta Maxxum 7000 (film) and my digital Sony a99V (same A-mount). My original 50 had an "event" that seemed to jam the aperture blades wide open. This is the same generation of lenses (three generations total) as my original so I am very happy with this find/purchase. If you're looking for this lens, stick with Gen 1 or 2, preferably Gen 1. Gen3 came after Sony bought Minolta and the series isn't as good optically as the Minolta versions. Minolta made great glass! All my old Minolta lenses work great on the Sony a99V. Note: Minolta lenses only have five contacts, the Sony body has eight. No questions. The lenses work great with the camera. Many thanks to Hcstony Cameras for their fast service!
