I'll admit I only bought it because it looked like a decent slicer for the money. What I received was a high quality piece of steel at a bargain price. These are really good knives. They hold an edge, have one of the best grips I've ever used, and if you make sure they're dry before putting them back in the block they won't get rust. I run a take out sushi shop and knives are used all the time. I have some very expensive knives that I use, but most of them are just work tools. I'm always looking for an inexpensive slicer or chef's knife that holds the blade and is comfortable to hold. This knife ticks all the boxes and now that I'm familiar with the brand I'll definitely be buying more of them. I'm even considering buying a whole block of steak knives for my home kitchen. High quality, great price. i can't win
