A quality product that will hold your big screen TV

This quality bracket is well designed and made from durable materials. Once installed, it moves easily and smoothly. Instructions are minimal but sufficient - follow them. It's a big weight you're hanging on the wall. Think about it, as the TV expands, the forces (the pivot) multiply. To test my setup before hanging the TV, I hung it with my arms outstretched (180 pounds) and the mount didn't squeak. I added lock washers to the pull bolts, but that's just because I'm being paranoid, I don't think it's necessary. Only one tool is included, an Allen key. If you are mounting in wood studs you will need the following: drill bit, 1/4" drill bit, stud finder (if you don't have one, buy a good one with an air conditioner beware - you never know what's in the wall), socket wrench, screwdriver , measuring tape, spirit level and pencil. Rear cable routing is only adequate, purchase a roll of Velcro straps to secure cables and wires or they will likely pop out. My setup is in a niche next to the fireplace, so I needed an extension cord. This mount doesn't disappoint, almost 32 inches and then you can swivel from side to side. Sleek and easy to use when browsing, but pressed against the wall and unobtrusive when not in use. For some reason the description doesn't clearly mention that you can tilt the TV 15 degrees down and 5 degrees up. It does and works very well. While this is easy to set up, it's best to block and leave. Installation: To do what I was able to do myself I removed the lever mechanism, 6 screws and very light. It slides out to the side, leaving only the mounting plate that can be screwed to the wall. This can be done by one person after drilling a pilot hole or two. Make sure it's level. You'll need to make some adjustments later, but not much, maybe half an inch. In my case, the bracket wasn't centered on the wall from right to left, but this was easily done by sliding the bracket a few inches to the left. fix it Install the TV unit on the back of the TV. It's lightweight and very flexible to place in the center back of your TV. Again, I added lock washers to be on the safe side, up to you. You will install two hanging bolts that you will use to hang the mechanism on the bracket assembly following the instructions here and leave them about 3/8 inch long. You need two people here. Hang the TV on the bracket assembly, extra screws and a wrench in your pocket or very handy so you can just screw in the other two. This allows the cable box, Roku, and power cord to be mounted on the wall behind my 65" TV. I recommend this approach for a clean look with no dangling wires. If you installed this on an interior wall like I did, it doesn't matter. But if you're unfamiliar with electrical work, either hire an electrician or live with dangling cords. You cannot install devices on the TV mount as they will get in the way, but there is enough space above or below. In my case, the TV isn't quite flush with the wall, but it's very close, maybe 1/2 inch more than you wouldn't otherwise notice. All remote controls work perfectly with the devices behind the TV. I bought a Hideit mount for the cable box, very thin and works great. For the tiny Roku box, I simply used industrial grade Velcro and attached it to the back of the TV (outside edge). At least there's room for a DVD player so I'll just put mine aside as I don't use it often, but it plugs in easily if I think if it's small it can be top or bottom wall mounted the holder (opposite the cable box) in such a way that the shelf opens to the side. Then just slide the TV out a little and insert the DVD. When everything is in place, you can see if you have space or if it's sticking out. I would allow an hour for the installation (TV mount only) but can be done in 30 minutes. It's not difficult at all. Wiring will likely take longer than installation. If you install an outlet and cable box, etc. behind your TV, you will be watching it for several hours. This is a durable product that can easily hold your TV. Follow the instructions, don't overtighten the lags (tight but not broken) and it will be very secure. That's why I love lock washers, when they're compressed you know you're done. Very happy and worth the money.
