2 stars because the yarn is good quality BUT Do you enjoy untying knots before tying them in a macrame project? I love untangling jewels into knots so thought I'd have fun. Does it make you happy to postpone commissioned projects? How about getting so tense that you drink a whole bottle of wine and yell at your spouse when they get home? Do you like it when your hobby makes you angry? Because if you answered yes to more than one of the above questions, then this product is for you. The dowel that this 700ft of rope was attached to was no longer than a roll of toilet paper - in fact, my toilet paper is wider than that dowel. When the goods arrived, I opened the box and half of the rope had already fallen off the dowel. "It's okay - I can handle a tangled piece of rope," I thought. twisted rope and two ends of a tangled mess. I used the term "clean" very loosely - there is nothing neat about how they wound this string and this is the most accurate description. It's more like a pulley you would use to sew on a button and less like the 4mm wide rope that's packaged. There's no cross here, it's just wrapped around like a water hose by a kid who hates a normal day. I have several hours, a bottle of wine, a wasted evening, and an inappropriate argument with my spouse that escalates into an unraveling. this mess - and I'm not even half done. But the string is of good quality.
