Brightness: 5 stars Lifespan: 4 stars Odour: 3 stars Reptile use: 5 stars I bought this lamp set looking for a better alternative to other brands of reptile heat lamps. These bulbs cost $5-9 each and can last 12 hours a day for 4 months. I installed the first lightbulb for my bearded dragons in August 2020. 12 hours every day. This lasted until February 2021. This is a great value in my book. At 10 inches from the lamp I have a stable 95-100 degrees Fahrenheit which is what I wanted for my hotspot. No complaints so far, except for the following: read below. They need to burn through for a few hours before I'm comfortable using them indoors. I'm not sensitive to odors, but the silicone coating smells when first heated. It doesn't give off smoke or anything, you just know the coating is curing. I have a light outside, I just changed the bulbs after about 2 hours and it no longer smells. Then I bring it inside and put it in the body lamp. Overall I'm happy and will be buying another set in about a year when they finally go out and light up some bulbs in multiple cases. What I won't do is run to the animal market every 2 months for a $10 lightbulb.
