🔍 Enhanced Visibility with CEC Industries TS100 Frosted Silicone Review

I have an antique floor lamp with a Mughal mount. It's great, but the light made a loud, constant, uncomfortable buzz. I bought a converter for the Mogul base and these bulbs because I read their stronger filament means less buzz. Instead of less hum, there is NO hum. I'm so happy. It is true that "100 watts" does not mean the same brightness as a regular 100 watt light bulb. Light is enough for my needs but keep this in mind if you need the brightness of a regular 100 watt incandescent bulb.

These bulbs get HOT as hell. Within the first few minutes I could smell the nasty Chinese chemicals burning off, I suggest airing out a bit. I suspect the color temperature is around 2300K, which is quite "yellowish". Light intensity is bad. At 100 watts I began to have my doubts, except that the intense heat reminded me that these things are hot as hell and will give you a nasty blister in no time. Like a guy I know, these lights may be harsh, but they're definitely not bright. If you're looking for a bulb that can handle some stress but doesn't need a lot of light, this is great. They may be 100 watt bulbs at first, but after an opaque rubberized coating is applied, they don't put out as much light as regular 100 watt bulbs.
