Review on HONOR Band 5 Global Smart Bracelet, Pink by Boyan Boyanov ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No complaints, I recommend to buy.

The night mode cannot be adjusted in terms of timing; it activates at 10 p.m.; Additionally, the brightness of the night mode cannot be changed independently from the main brightness; rather, it is influenced by it (the greater the main brightness, the higher the night mode brightness). I had to fiddle around a bit to make the option of additional dials in the Huawei health application available to customers starting in 2022. There was also no synchronization with cloud storage. I'm not certain, but it might already be fixed. The phases of sleep selected here, in my opinion, are arbitrary. I had a situation where the bracelet recorded a deep phase while I was still in bed, already waking up in the morning. As a result, I think that the phase tracking accuracy is poor here, but I had no expectations before making the purchase. The strap's end stopper broke 15 months after it was first used. The attempt to glue it failed. Instead, he started employing a tiny elastic band. The stopwatch can only run for one hour. In addition to one non-removable regular watch face, the bracelet memory may store up to 8–10 watch faces at a time (depending on their weight). I charge it once a week with the continuous heart rate tracking feature deactivated. Once every five days when enabled. was bought in August of 2022. I went from my Mi Band 2 to it. For a while, I debated between honor band 5 and my band 4. There are a few places where I have big advantages, but honor ultimately attracted a little more. I purchased it on AliExpress along with an additional white strap, which proved to be practically useless once I tried to use it. It is unprofessional, fragile, and awkward. An updated screenshot of all watch faces that are available is as follows: As I utilize it, I'll write a review. Write to Facebook with any questions.

Pros
  • 1) records sleep during the day 2) Depending on the watch face, either the main screen or when you click on it displays the current weather. 3) The display's night mode feature (automatic dimming at night). 4) You can redial an incoming call. 5) Huawei Health app's comprehensive sleep statistics 6) The lock that secures the strap's end (third photo) 7) It is practical to check notifications without pulling out the phone, however the amount of text displayed is constrained. 8) Fairly user-friendly charging connection 9) the capability to pause, switch, and regulate the level of music tracks and films (from the gallery, from YouTube, and movies) being played on a smartphone, both with and without headphones. 10) high maximum brightness: even in direct sunshine, everything is visible on the screen. 11) You may toggle the display of some icons in the menu (such as those that show the number of hours you slept last night, the amount of oxygen in your blood, the pace at which your heart beats, the ability to control music or activate a certain training mode) as well as their location.
Cons
  • 1) When turning the wrist, the display does not always light up (when lifting and turning, it typically does), which may be very frustrating, especially if the second hand is occupied. You must hit the button with your nose (also for the Mi Band 2), although you eventually get used to it. 2) The display does not illuminate after turning the hand if the hand is vertical (the angle of inclination of the hand relative to the horizontal is greater than 45 °) (also true for the Mi Band 2). 3) It is impossible to alter the time at which you go to sleep or wake up. 4) Your overall sleep duration will be overstated if you remain still and relaxed, as the wristband may interpret this as sleep: • If you lie in bed for a while after waking up, the bracelet will frequently refer to sleep during this period (the mi band 2 also has this feature, but the mi fit allows you to manually change the duration of sleep). • While I was seated in a chair at the hairdresser, the bracelet thought I was nodding off. 5) If you go to sleep before 20:00, this period of time is added to the previous day's sleep in the statistics. 6) In contrast to Mi Band 2, where the vibration is greater and more pleasant, this one is uncomfortable. 7) This function is worthless since the step required to adjust the volume from the wristband is too great (4 divisions (27%) for the Meizu 15 and 10 divisions (66%) for the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro. 8) When you see notifications on your phone, they are not automatically erased from the bracelet; instead, you must manually clear the bracelet of them. 9) You can only set alarms and manage them through the Huawei Health app, not through the bracelet itself. 10) You cannot move the settings in the bracelet menu; if you scroll up the menu, they constantly appear after the third icon. 11) Over time, the strap strap frequently started to come loose from the strap end lock. The bracelet may result in lower heart rate readings during vigorous activity since it assumes that the wearer is sleeping and records sleep with phase tracking while lying disassembled on the nightstand.
