The box came completely broken but the contents looked good. I followed the instructions and installed it. It wouldn't go all the way in on one side if I put strips of tape on it. I ended up basically sticking it in, but as soon as I put my phone in, the damn thing fell out, phone and all. The tape was cut halfway through and I was tired of trying to fix it all over again. I am returning this item. **To update**. I removed the extra tabs on the strap and it fits the CD slot much better, and it stayed in place through the many knocks and bumps of our potholed city. It holds the phone well, but if you have a case the grip isn't as good as it could be. I'm happier than I was originally and would say it's ok for the price.
