These lights are good but there are some problems with them. The Wi-Fi connection works easily even from 50-100 feet away to control the light via an app on your phone. Build quality initially looked acceptable based on the amount I paid for it. The problem I found with them was not just with one of the strands I bought, but with both strands. After the rain I noticed that water was collecting on one of the filaments in the two bulbs. I noticed this because these two individual bulbs were a slightly different color than the rest of the filament being lit. I contacted Revain and they kindly exchanged them for a new set. I thought it was a drop of water and was relieved to know I now have a new set to replace them. Fast forward: I need to remove the broken headlights so I can ship them back to Revain. As I took them off I noticed that the second set of lamps also had water in one of the bulbs in this set. These lanterns work perfectly on wood if you can hang them in a dry place. Unfortunately mine are hanging outside over my patio and within 30 days of being outside they are already collecting water. Obviously this wasn't an accident as it happened with both of the lighting kits I bought. If the manufacturer can solve this problem, I'll be happy to give a five-star rating. Unfortunately both of my kits have collected water and I expect my $160 purchase (2 light threads) will have more issues down the road until they are redesigned to be fully sealed and rain proof.
