Such a good metallic pigment

In love with these colors. I bought them because I love metallics and have a hard time finding good ones for illustration and watercolor, but they are great. I love the color palette as most of them are gold only options but rose gold/copper was such a nice change of pace. I definitely wouldn't say this is a paint for beginners in terms of usability. You have to leave the water in the pots for a while to get the desired effect like other brands like Kuretake paints do. As with the Kuretake paints, they're also not quite professional quality, not because the pigment delivery is poor, but because these types of paints aren't truly watercolor-like due to the media that suspend the pigment. They tend to use different binders than regular watercolor paints, some of which may be animal products, so check before using if you're concerned about this. Lightfastness and acidity are another concern for the lifespan of your artwork. However, many professionals still use this type of paint. Longevity isn't always a big issue for artists, so if you want to try them out because you think they'll be cool, I'd definitely recommend that!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
