Use them on more than just my electronics/computer products. refrigerator repairman said.

The reason my freezer stopped working was because the circuit board had burned out due to a surge voltage. and it must have cost him labor (about $100 or so plus about $100 worth of parts (maybe more depends on how long and how much the part costs) and advised us to just buy another one. Our freezer is about 8 years old .old and only $400 plus $50 shipping they fry easily so we ran our washing machine and upgraded all our electronics. that traditional surge protectors work differently than this type - somewhat in the direction the device sends the surge. Maybe someone else can explain it better. You don't need this surge protector if the device doesn't have a circuit board. You may find that the bc device/equipment has a digital display somewhere. There are more powerful surge protectors out there than this - we use them for things like toasters etc and more powerful ones for more expensive appliances. it will be in a few minutes and now our freezer is like new. We don't know how to do that, but my son is good with computers and electronic devices. We even had a good and honest handyman - he also has to earn a living and go home. He only took 3/4 of his usual home visit from us to give us this information and to check our freezer. He even tries to give you advice over the phone so he doesn't have to come out and blame you.

Pros
  • 1045 joules surge protector for maximum protection of all your sensitive electronics
Cons
  • Lack of power
