I used them to strengthen the inner thighs of my khaki work pants. They always have a hole so I figured if I ironed them on the inside thighs I could keep my work pants. They (sort of) worked for this purpose, but I would NOT recommend them for this purpose. The material is very rough and hard. It gave me abrasions in my thigh area and it was very uncomfortable/painful for me to wear them while walking. They were attached very well when I first glued them to the pants, but after one wash (do not tumble dry) the edges started to peel off enough that I was able to easily take the whole thing off.
