I usually use goat hair brushes but they are more expensive than this 1 brush set. However, I needed an inexpensive set of brushes. The goat hair powder brush is not as fluffy as other powder brushes I use and is almost the size of a blush brush. Also, it scratches my skin more than an expensive brush. I have no problem with other brushes, except for the eyeshadow brush, which has the shortest bristles. It doesn't really have a specific purpose. Synthetic brushes are great for what they are. What this set really needs is one less eyeshadow brush and one brow brush instead. The lid is good for plastic "skin" and I like the resealable lid, but it smells until it airs out (a few days).
