This thing is a joke. The insert does not stay in the frame and is so thick that the shank of my sewing machine grinds across the surface of the insert no matter how I adjust it. They obviously didn't design it with practical use in mind. The fact that the insert keeps popping out of the frame makes the frame unusable. I returned it and got my money back. It was much easier just to see by hand.
