I use it 24/7 in my office for soothing background music. Excellent repeat ability of a track or the entire disc. I haven't used a radio or flash drive but I think they work just as well. I wouldn't advise running this in a dark room if you plan to sleep as the light can be quite distracting even when a little dimmed. I only use this in my office with the lights on. color change, that have occurred in connection with making music do not bother me. However, this would be the case if I wanted to use the machine to listen to music while falling asleep. Decent quality for the price
