Let's face it. Plastic shuttlecocks have not yet evolved to match feathered flight patterns. They are great for beginners (I bought them to help my 7 year old connect a birdie to a club) and for practice (wall practice or just ball dribbling). I don't want to play serious matches with him or even practice the net (the difference in flight pattern is most noticeable at net when we're cutting shots to pull off a drop shot).
