I bought it for my workplace, at work. I don't like country and unfortunately we only have two radio stations, one plays 60's and 90's and the other one plays country. The out of town station always shows up and the other station is sporadic, sometimes it just randomly kicks off for no apparent reason, I can only assume it has something to do with how much CB chatter is going on as there is a Lot gives coal there. Shovels and drills are running on the roads I work on. Anyway, we had an old-fashioned giant radio receiver and some kind of wire antenna attached to it, so I decided to give this thing a try. To be honest, , I switched between the two antennas several times and don't really notice much difference in the reception quality.
