Good quality but can be designed for easier installation

Overall these mounts seem good. They mount to the wall and hold the speakers at almost any angle. In this respect they are excellent and I can wholeheartedly recommend them. The build quality is solid. There's a bit of play in the lateral adjustment, which I don't like, but they snap in well enough and don't move after installation. The up-down angle adjustment is well designed but unachievable. after the installation is complete. Before completing the installation, make sure you have exactly what you want. The speakers I use weigh 11 pounds and are pretty solid. My biggest concern is how the mounting plate (which attaches to the back of the speaker) attaches to the wall mount. There are tiny (and I mean TINY) hex head set screws that go through the mounting plate and into the mounting bracket to keep the speaker from detaching from the bracket. The screws do the job, but once the speakers are in place they are on the back of the speaker in a very difficult place to access. It's hard enough to get past the built-in speaker with one hand, but you almost have to stick both hands back in to align the tiny screw and turn the Allen key. You don't see anything all the time. I can't tell you the number of times I've dropped screws trying to put them back on. I think it would be better to include some thumbscrews with a big ribbed head that you can tighten by hand, or screws with a screw. flat head in the shape of a key, easy to turn with two fingers. Screwing in those 4 screws took longer than attaching the wall brackets and speaker panels. Plus, they're good and seem like a good choice.

Pros
  • EASY INSTALLATION: The speaker wall bracket is easy to install in two steps: 1. Fix the bracket to the wall, 2. Screw the metal plate behind the speaker and put the Plate in the wall bracket. Low-profile design and speaker placement 4.5 inches from the wall provides ample space for installation.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
