Nice but limited track extension.

Good ring rail with two switches. Several additional sections of the trail make it more versatile. Requires a Duplo turn to do anything useful. Our 2.5 year old can set up and take down by himself.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Upgrades

Change rails to narrow for "compatible " trains

I just got this for the Toy Story train but the two pieces that change the direction you want to go aren't included the Lego train "Toy Story" compatible duplo. The wheelbase is too narrow.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Interchangeable

The train is not on the track.

The track looks cool unfortunately I saw the train on the box I thought it was on. Please note that you have to buy the train separately and the cost is higher. So the grandkids put it together and I still have to take the train. I feel the picture on the packaging was misleading as it was difficult to read online.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Disappointed at least

Bought this along with the 2 LEGO Duplo trains my son got for Christmas. You can only do a small loop with a stretch, not all the options that are written on the box. For these you need several sets. Trains also don't go through the switch, so it can't even be used with the trains that have it. So disappointing.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Upgradable

Rails do not stick together

Rails do not stick together at all so the rail does not hold well. My 2 year old LOVES these footprints but keeps bumping his knee into them causing them to separate. I bought it together with another compatible brand. The other brand was cheaper and the tracks connected easily. Disappointed with the inferior LEGO brand. But like I said, my son loves them.

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Some problems

2 year old is obsessed!

Admittedly my kid is obsessed with Legos and trains so this purchase was a no-brainer. But it's actually a cool build. We combined it with a bunch of freight trains and extra tracks and the result is a huge track with just enough space for them to sit in the middle to interact and build more things. The trains don't have volume controls, but they're not that bad in terms of noise. The app is fun too. The train moves back and forth on solid ground even without rails. If you get all sets, you may

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Only available in white

Big hit in our house!

My son got the train for his 4th birthday and it was his favorite present. He played with it non-stop for 4 days. I couldn't resist and ended up ordering a set of extra chains with derailleurs and a bridge set for them. The age on the packaging is 2-5. I think it's more like 3-6 or 3-7 years depending on the kid. At 2 years old I don't think they would have been able to plan the layout of the lanes. And (IMHO) if you keep adding track sets, the additional layout options will interest older…

Pros
  • Makes you happy
Cons
  • Everything is fine

A toy for toddlers that will entertain adults

I'm tired of sitting at home with my baby, playing at tea parties and eating imaginary food. It is the perfect entertainment toy and is both challenging for adults and fun for a toddler. I used 3 crates of curved track and 2 crates of bridges to build these elevated tracks. My baby has been playing with it for a month now and hasn't gotten bored yet. I will just change the configuration when she gets bored and it will be a brand new toy again. Come up with new configurations and share your…

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Operating speed

If it had rechargeable batteries

I love this toy and bought it for our son who loves trains and has ASD but it is battery operated which drives my husband crazy. I didn't think anything of it, but our son left it on and the batteries only lasted a few days. The traces don't stick together very well, but they work well enough. I wish LEGO would make batteries for this because now we never use them. But the train concept and controls are a lot of fun and our son loves it.

Pros
  • Build a toy train track with 10 curved elements, stoppers, switches and a level crossing with this fun train set for toddlers!
Cons
  • No Instructions
