Admittedly my kid is obsessed with Legos and trains so this purchase was a no-brainer. But it's actually a cool build. We combined it with a bunch of freight trains and extra tracks and the result is a huge track with just enough space for them to sit in the middle to interact and build more things. The trains don't have volume controls, but they're not that bad in terms of noise. The app is fun too. The train moves back and forth on solid ground even without rails. If you get all sets, you may need to purchase additional storage space when not in use.
