It will take some time to get used to reading this watch, especially if you've never been in the military like me. What I have noticed so far is that I show up to my meetings earlier than usual. I guess that's because I don't push myself to the very last minute before going to a meeting. I've also found that working with time estimates around 11am or around 4:20am makes you feel more relaxed during the workday. There is a phenomenon that time slows down. Nice. I have many higher quality watches so it may take a little longer to love the watch. The design is clean, simple, and has a retro feel, which is great, but if it came in other styles, I'd be tempted to go down that route. I don't think showing the date on a dial will detract from the goal of moving to a 24-hour one-hand watch. On a date I have to take my cell phone, iPad or computer with me. I think if you could buy this watch with or without the date field (depending on personal preference) that would be a plus.
