BUILT-IN ELECTRONIC DEVICES ARE NOT WATERPROOF! Before installing, I used this product indoors for a few days, stretching it to minimize the tendency to curl. A variety of operating modes are available. The supplied plastic clips are almost useless for temporarily attaching an aluminum gutter. Each clip surrounds a plastic tube and has a short tongue with holes for permanent attachment to wood or metal with screws. I asked customer service to suggest a useful gutter clamp and customer service only offered the clamps that came with it. I found a plastic gutter clip on my own that securely holds the tab of the included clip. I found another one that securely surrounds the plastic tube. So, I think I have a solution for installing a gutter.
