Complete kit for removing large dents

I initially planned on replacing my hood due to the sheer volume of hail damage which would take far more time and money to replace than a new one to buy. I also had a huge dent on the front of the hood from a shopping cart that rolled down a hill and hit hard a few years ago and that's probably the worst place to pull out too (center right in the sharp crease). The paint cracked due to the way it was affected, so I expected some of it to peel off during this process. All of this relates to the worst case scenario you might expect (long dent, cracked paint, deep dent) but I bought this kit to experiment before replacing the hood and gain experience for future dents, which I will definitely take. In fact, I was very impressed with the set. It comes with everything you need except rubbing alcohol, which is great because a lot of kits don't come with glue or a high-temp glue gun. The slide hammer gave significantly more pulling power than the other dent kit I own, which is a bridge puller (this one is better for hail damage but not big dents). The black glue was very strong, the yellow wasn't very strong, but it might be what you need if you're not working with such a rigid body. I worked on the dent for 30 minutes (mostly you have to wait 3 minutes for the glue to set) and made great progress, the dent was probably 20% of its original depth. I decided to leave it at that for now as I'm comfortable with it and know I'll be replacing the hood anyway. Some of the cracked paint came off as expected, I wouldn't worry too much about that unless your dent is very old and doesn't have cracks that you can feel, but even if it does peel a little it is pretty easy to fix. Buy a touch-up stick of the same color as the manufacturer and touch it up. I'm glad I bought this and I feel like next time I have a big dent I can clean it up quickly with no problems!
