Cute hamster cage, best on wheels

This cage is very cute. The assembly was not easy. I noticed the paper pointing to the video to help with its assembly. It might have been helpful before attempting to follow the limited instruction. When I attached the wheel, I felt like I was just guessing at the location based on the less-detailed illustration. Somehow I got it right. There is a bolt holding it and you have to somehow hold it down so the bolt falls through the hole and then try to screw the nut in without slipping back inside the wheel. After several attempts I managed to do it. Once you have the wheel installed, you will see a piece of plastic that fits into the hole from above. Again, the blurry illustration did it, so I had to figure out the placement through trial and error. There is a white and red patterned paper with some stickers to keep it in place. I gave it up because anyone who has kept hamsters knows they poop and piss on everything and this paper isn't going to hold up anyway so I figured I wouldn't even use it. You can get multiple pipes that fit on it. There are three holes, one on top and two on the sides. They are closed with a plastic ring and a hard plastic cap that snaps into place. I wasn't sure how they fit exactly but they just seem to snap into place. The set includes a small water bottle, but it is very small, so you can use a larger bottle. It has a small ball at the bottom of the spout and appears to be functional. The measurements listed at 19.7 inches long, 13.8 inches wide and 9.5 inches high seem almost correct according to my tape measure. This does not include the wheel sticking out of the spout. When you don't want to use the wheel, you can detach it and the plastic part will cover the top hole. The wire part has two clips on each side that snap to the plastic bottom. Don't worry about a big hamster chewing through the plastic. It's big enough for a little hamster. The wheel seems to spin smoothly without rattling or hitting anything. I don't know how it will go over time, but for now it's good. I took this photo with my 17lb Vesti to give you an idea of the size of the cage. I think that's the average for $57. It's cute, but it was difficult to assemble and too much plastic for me. .Thanks for reading my review Becky Brooks
