After looking at different hip bags, I was concerned that I would get one that doesn't look like the pictures, or that was PLU instead of real leather. This one is definitely real leather--- you can see the "suede" underside of the leather on the zipper pulls etc. The size is great, and I love the pockets. My only complaint was that the buckle was plastic instead of metal to match the rest of the bag--- I went to a craft store and bought my own brass lobster claw clasps and resewed it to match. Sizing on the strap is a little big--- I typically wear a small/medium belt, and this was just a little too big even when pulled as tight as possible. I adjusted the belt size when I resewed it, so it's fine now, but keep in mind if you are a smaller sized person. This would be great for anyone with a larger waist that is concerned it might not fit. Overall, excellent bag, and I am happy with my purchase!
