Honest Truth!: Garbage and Hacking

Personally, I didn't use this dustpan as much as my teenage daughter did. Cleaning two litter boxes for our only (8 year old) cat is part of her job. However, we struggled with a cheap plastic shovel for a long time. In the end I decided to get it over with and buy a metal shovel. I chose this product because it was the #1 bestseller and for the price. The photos shown were taken after a month of use. (Haven't cleaned it.) I think people should mention the type of litter they use as it can greatly affect their experience with the shovel. Maybe they don't want to admit they're using cheap stuff for fear of being judged. While they work at various animal shelters and volunteer, they don't always get "good" kitty litter. However, because I was forced to use paper food bowls as scoops in these situations with different types of kitty litter (donated), my scooping experience was different. Remember that I have dealt with different types of cats: kittens, senior cats, sick cats, healthy cats and senior cats. Therefore, the urine and feces that came out of the holes were VERY different! So, YES, the type of cat litter has to be mentioned! We keep the shovel in the bag it came in (as you can see) so we cannot comment on the holder. And we only use the Tidy Cats pen that is included. Bucket. To be precise: - Instant effect (turquoise) - With Glade Tough Odor Solutions (grey) [BIG mistake; stinks horribly. I know!] - 24/7 Productivity (Red) - 4-in-1 Power (Black) *NEW The casts we used with the shovel were red and black. Me: What are your impressions of the shovel? How do you like the new Scoop compared to its predecessor? She: Very good, like it could hold more things than the previous one we had. The holes are thinner. Hardly any droppings can get through. That's all. Me: Was there a big difference between a metal shovel and a plastic shovel? She: Not a big difference, because the plastic one also had narrow holes, but it couldn't carry that much. Here it is folks! FYI, SHE gave it 4/5 stars. [She would choose 4 1/2, but there are no half stars.] We weren't looking for the "perfect" spoon, but one that would do the job 80-100%. Come on, I picked up the little paper bowls for the dinner. As long as it works I'm happy.
