Until 2020 I didn't think I would buy a ring light. I don't blog or make YouTube videos. All of my CCs were on call only, but IT SURE HAS NOT CHANGED. It's 2020 and everyone is using Microsoft Teams or Zoom for video calls. I found my video looked like hot junk and nothing screams "I'm a pro" like grainy low-light photos. All the light in my office comes from behind my back, so it wasn't optimal. After watching SNL go from a low-budget production to an actual show in the 2020 season, I realized the difference is THEY ALL HAD RING LIGHTS NOW. So low and when I saw it I decided to give it a try. Now I have nothing to compare it to OTHERS other than the lack of a ring light but the light it emits is really bright and instantly improved my video. I doubt my clients will appreciate what I've done to look better, but I sure do. I found that I like the soft light setting the most, but the blue light is also very good. Only 3 light settings and at least 5 brightness settings. The bottom is metal for light weight, it is durable and works well. The only real downside I have is that the phone holder is quite difficult to open because it's so sturdy, but when it's there, it's there. Again, I can't compare to other ring lights in terms of functionality, but if you're looking for decent light quality with multiple lighting settings, this is a pretty solid buy.
