When I slept 4 hours, I had the feeling that I had really achieved something. I've been watching ads for these blankets the whole time and I thought - what? Then a woman with RA wrote a review (I've had RA for 46 years) and she just fell in love with this blanket. I bought it that day. I liked the idea of a cooling blanket because I have a fever every day, sometimes up to 103.6, and I sleep hot. When the blanket arrived it seemed very heavy to me but I checked and it weighed 15 pounds. So I put him on my bed and crawled under the covers that night. I slept 4 hours and needed to use the bathroom, so I went back to bed (that's the part where I can never get back to sleep), grabbed the TV remote to turn on the news, and woke up 3 1/2 hours later on. later with the TV remote still in hand, but I still couldn't turn on the TV. I was shocked. Not only did I sleep well. lied, but I didn't feel so hard. It's been a few months now and I sleep between 6 and 9 hours a night. I usually get up once to go to the bathroom, but then I fall asleep again. I still have bad nights sometimes because I overdo it during the day. or just too much pain for whatever reason. I ended up buying a weighted comforter. I share my bed with 2 dogs so I really needed a blanket. I bought the one that matched my comforter from Weighted Ideas. I no longer wake up at night in a puddle of sweat, I don't have to get up and change my nightwear because it's wet and sticky, I'm not hot and I'm not cold – I just want to. this is the ideal temperature all the time. The blanket feels heavy when you move it, but it's not. Feel heavy when he's on you. I've had no issues with misalignment or bead bunching on the edges etc. My 7 lb Chihuahua who is 18 years old squirms under the weighted blanket and snuggles up against me. I don't know how she does it, but most of the time I wake up next to her. If you have trouble sleeping it's worth a try because I was a non-believer until I slept under it. Good luck and sweet dreams.
