This pencil case and holder works exactly as it should. If your goal is to keep your Apple Pencil handy, you won't be disappointed. However, I have found that this holder gets in the way. I like to read e-books from my iPad flat behind the tablet with the lid open. It's difficult with this pen holder. I had to constantly maneuver the case so I could comfortably hold it in my hand or rest it on my lap. In the end, I found the best solution was to simply remove the pen holder from the iPad's lid while I was reading. Unfortunately, this meant I risked forgetting to replace it when I finished reading, or move on to another task. Not perfect.
