There are disadvantages, but the product is usable.

Water level sensor malfunctioned. And because it's an electronic sensor, the whole thing broke down.
Fixing a broken water sensor is as easy as purchasing a CD4066BM96 four-way CMOS switch from Chip Dip for a hundred dollars and replacing it at any repair shop with a pair of straight arms and a soldering iron. The whole world can be yours for only $500.

Pros

Excellent humidifier for the home. Nothing is left behind on surfaces.

Cons

After only 3 months, the water level sensor stopped working.
