Arrived with a lot of annoying scratches or something in the middle of the display. Small black dots that don't go away. The 90 day guarantee says they don't accept "cosmetic" returns so I figured we'd just have to live with that. I spent about 7 or 8 hours transferring all my friend's nursing school supplies from PC to MacBook. Today we discovered that we can't sign in to iCloud, iMessage, or FaceTime (even with a valid Apple ID). After several hours of trying to troubleshoot the issue over the internet, we gave up and called Apple Support. After talking to them on the phone for about half an hour, they discovered that whoever "restored" this Macbook had formatted the SSD incorrectly. I had to completely erase the SSD to reformat it to the correct format. I lost all the time I spent translating yesterday, but it's only getting worse. After I erased the drive, reformatted it, and tried to "restore" it to an older OS so I could update it properly, it became a brick. Now I have a $700 paperweight that I can't return.
