This stuff was good while it lasted - but it didn't last long. I'm an amateur photographer and when I first got this I could just pop the SD card from my camera into the unit and then connect it to my laptop. Everything was working fine for about 10-15 times, but I was starting to have trouble recognizing devices like my laptop. Now it's not recognized on any of my devices (I'm not doing anything different than when it was working). If you can get one that works for more than a month or two, then great. Another lesson is that buying cheap junk doesn't pay off in the long run. I should also note that when not in use this thing just sat untouched in a secure camera bag - overall it was little used and is irrelevant now. I don't have a return window either, so the $18 goes straight into the bin!
