This is a great headpiece to complete a 1920's flapper outfit. It's quite nice and shiny, and honestly a little better quality than I expected for around $10. It cannot be said that this is a quality product. It's made of cheaper metals that will definitely tarnish with wear and make your skin look green. I recommend either getting a piece of sticky felt (maybe moleskin?) to stick the backing to, or painting the backing with clear nail polish. It is designed to be easily tied on the head with the attached ties. I actually think I could replace it with some kind of rubber band or something, although I don't like the bulk the bands add and they don't provide the secure and snug fit that a rubber band has. I can get it to stay in place simply by tying the ribbons, but I don't feel like it's very secure. However, a few inches of gum would be a pretty cheap fix.
