Review on Gaming Commuter Carrying Handle Removeable Shoulder Nintendo Switch by Zack Block

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The case I was looking for, PDP does it again!

The biggest benefit of the Nintendo Switch (or at least one of them) is its ability to switch from portable mode to Dock/TV mode. And it's a huge deal when you're at home and you can still use it. but what if you want to take your Switch on the road and take the dock with you? Well, it's a lot less portable now, with a few things to carry around. There are carrying cases for the dock and pro controller, but they're starting to look like suitcases and aren't as handy for carrying around. You can get a new case to reduce the size of the dock, but your case options are still limited and most of them force you to either use a tiny controller or go for any type of case/case for the Switch itself waive when in portable device mode. Step into this PDP case - it's just right for storing a hard shell switch, a compact controller, an upgrade shell dock (it won't fit in a standard dock and you need a full-fledged professional in this mode leaving the controller behind) and the necessary cables without having to be a suitcase or break the bank. In a word, this is the case I was looking for! The case itself looks very premium due to the use of quality materials and stitching. It's only a semi-hard shell so not the ultimate protection (don't put a bunch of stuff on it) but it should protect against light falls and bumps. Inside there are plenty of straps and velcro closures and even a small resealable pocket to organize things as needed. And the detachable shoulder strap makes it easy to carry - more typically - with a padded carry handle. The art on the outside is take it or leave it - as a fairly conservative (sometimes boring) person I would have preferred plain black, but Link's artwork isn't offensive and the more open-minded sets (or younger sets) might like some of the lighter options. All in all a great case if you want to take your Switch and tons of accessories with you in a reasonably compact package - good quality, good price and very comfortable!

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
