The timer function is great! And unless you're looking for a very well lit tank or a pop of color on the bottom as well as lighting up your tank this would be great but it was oddly bright like you can't look at it but kinda make up for it is so bright. The light becomes more bluish so you can't see the tank clearly at all. I can't see my fish from behind, especially when it's close to the light because it's kind of in dark water, but the light is blinding my eyes. We plan to get another light (bright and clear) and then dim that fully to place on the bottom of the tank to show the colors.
