Good lamp, few problems

UPDATE: Doesn't charge anymore, a little less than a year. I was just looking for a lamp for my bedside table, I wasn't expecting anything special. I was pleasantly surprised to find something inexpensive, thoughtful, and useful. Everything corresponds to the description: 4 usable white light levels, 3 colors and 1 color gradient. Appropriate size. Capacitive touch top. Portable. Rechargeable. Long battery life. Well assembled with no problems. 5 stars in terms of viewing. Now for the cons. Firstly this is all plastic, the bottom is plastic with a wood pattern, not wood. It's Chinese and $20, don't expect the world. Second, the charge indicator (red or green LED for charging or charging) stays on as long as it's plugged in. Being made entirely of plastic, it emits a very bright light throughout the device, even when the light is off. For someone who sleeps next to him when he's always plugged in, it's beyond awkward, that's a reason to come back. I mitigated both of these imperfections by wrapping black vinyl tape around the bottom as you can see in the photos. I would pay more for a wood or metal base and want the light to turn off after fully charging for 5 minutes. But with my mod and considering the price, I'll leave it to myself. My 3 year old son also thinks it's the coolest. He's not wrong.
