I was annoyed that there was no remote control in the kit, I only saw a small box without a remote control. However, I took everything out of the box and found the missing remote control in the box. It quickly paired with the iPhone XS and takes a photo when the camera is active. I'll test it during the tutorial and talk more about how it works. The tripod adapter is just perfect and fits the phone as stated by the seller. The product is plastic but with moderate use you can expect it to work well for everyday use. This is a smart purchase from Revain. Update February 1st 2019 I used it for 3 days and it was great and the remote worked great. The tripod is made of plastic and easily holds my iPhone XS and my friends XS Plus phones. The holder is rigid and holds the phone securely, but make sure the tripod head can make minor adjustments to line up the grip (I have a small ball head). The remote control will be automatically paired with the phone's Bluetooth setting. The slider on the side turns it on and off, so make sure you turn it off to avoid accidental recordings. I was able to use the tripod in a large room about 20 feet away. The phone works for photos or videos, it's like touching the phone. I plan to put a dot on the "on" side as it's hard to know what the "on/off" position is. This model from Jansite Direct is a great buy and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a remote control and a secure phone mount.
