This collapsible hamper turned out to be better than expected when I discovered that there was absolutely no assembly necessary. Just take it out of the plastic bag and open it up! The hamper comes fully assembled with an iron wire frame. It is an attractive blue & white stripe finish with a waterproof coating of polyethylene on the inside. I like that so the hamper doesn't mold from damp laundry. It also has two nice sized white cotton handles that make it extremely easy to transport one-handed. There is one exterior pocket that measures 16" W x 8 1/2" H. The dimensions of this hamper are 23 1/2" H x 21 1/2" W x 12 1/2" D.This hamper can actually hold a lot of laundry. I particularly like that I can really load up the hamper, and it stays standing. It is also easy to transport to the laundry room. The bag seems to distribute the weight evenly when full and heavy. It does not feel bulky or difficult to carry like a large plastic laundry basket. Because I can carry this hamper one-handed, that leaves my second hand free for carrying other items. The exterior pocket is a bonus where I like to put my delicate laundry and other items that need to be washed separately so that I do not toss them into the regular loads.The instructions that come with this collapsible hamper are that it should not be tossed into the washer or dryer as that could destroy the polyethylene waterproofing. I have wiped down the bag between loads and sprayed a little disinfectant inside. In between loads, this bag is collapsible and can just be stored away, if desired.I wish I had thought about using one of these collapsible laundry hampers years ago. I would absolutely recommend this item to others. 5 stars in my rating system.
