I ended up buying a new multipurpose desk that was a little taller than my old desk and my old executive chair wasn't high enough to sit properly and lacked good lumbar support . After hours of browsing Amazon, I finally settled on this chair. I've heard that HON is a trusted brand and while there aren't as many reviews of this chair as others, the reviews seem to be more positive. This chair is very comfortable. I've had spinal fusion surgery in the past so something with excellent lumbar support was a big requirement. My back seems to fit this chair perfectly. Another plus is the seat cushion, which is probably the most comfortable I've sat on in a long time. Pros: - This thing blows up! I'm 5.11 and at my peak I can't touch the floor - Very comfortable lumbar support and seat cushion - Tension control so people of different weights can adjust the pneumatic hydraulics - Easy to assemble - Very well made I feel this thing should last a long time Cons: - The handles are adjustable vertically but there is no horizontal adjustment. Keep this in mind if you are a person with a larger physique. An alternative would be to simply remove the hands. The tilt function is a bit stiff, but I still don't use it and it can even loosen over time. Extras: Comes in somewhat odd packaging, to say the least. When I first opened the box I honestly thought someone had already opened it and put it back in and sent it back or something. The adjustment lever was in another box with a torn handle, and there was nothing in the sealed bags except the wheels. After watching the video review here, I found that was exactly how it was packaged. I should note that nothing was damaged and I wasn't concerned with how they packaged it, it was just odd to me.
