I’ve been a babysitter for about 16 years and frequently end up babysitting 1 year olds. I wish I’d had this much sooner! I ordered it in anticipation of it being more difficult to carry the one year old I nanny after my gallbladder surgery and I wanted to take some of the stress off my abdomen while I was healing. It works really for that. I notice a big difference between just holding the baby and using the hip seat; it’s a lot less work for my body. The only difficulty is getting it to fit just right- too loose and it digs into my leg, too tight and it gets stuck in a position where I have to lift an awkward way to get the baby on it.
