Review on Floor Lamp Light Accents Torchiere by Raymond Wade

You get what you pay for

When I opened the box I was disappointed to find that manufacturers still use styrofoam. Getting this lamp out of the box was harder than it should be, if they just used bubble wrap it would be quicker and less messy. Figuring out how to put it together wasn't hard, twisting the pieces together was tricky and sometimes they didn't fit together right, so I just applied WD40 to the QTip and lubed the inside of the tubes where the two ends met and they came together. very good and fast. The back of the head is very thin, but the base is heavy and does not tip over. When I asked a question before purchasing, I was told the bulbs were glass. They're not, they're plastic. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it was plastic, I wanted glass. I know plastic heats up quickly, especially with a 150w three-way heater. Glass is heat resistant. But the plastic bothers me. The best part is that once switched on it was amazing to see how much it brightened up my living room. I really don't understand why there is no light in the living room or bedroom when you enter the room but mine is so dark and with this lamp it's amazing how much light it brings into the room. The only other plus I can find is the price. It was a very reasonable price. Some of the prices for these floor lamps are shocking.
