I bought these to update the color of some hinges. The Oil Bronze color matched my new hinges from another manufacturer perfectly. They are very easy to install. If you don't want your door to bang on the wall, then this is what you need. Here are the installation steps: - Use a small screwdriver and a hammer to knock out the old hinge pin. - Mount the doorstop on the hinge pin. I attached the square to the door. - Lubricate the hinge pin with Dupont Teflon spray. - Tap on the hinge pin. - Adjust the stop so that the door does not touch the wall. Here's the most important part: once you've got these installed and adjusted, you'll need to use threadlock to prevent them from loosening over time. I use Loctite 222 for this. It has low strength and can be easily modified. Do not use any other force. A bit where the thread enters the body will work. 1 or 2 drops. If you don't take this step, they will eventually leave and your doors will slam, making the entire purchase pointless. Much luck. now do it
