I normally wear a size 8 or 8.5, and I originally ordered these in size 8.5 because that is what the size chart indicated. They ended up being two inches too long so I ended up returning them and ordering a size 8. The size 8 fits well; however, the insoles are really not adequate for hiking. There's very little heel cushioning and nonexistent ball of foot cushioning; however, this is an easy fix because the manufacturer's insoles are removable and you can replace them with a good, full-length insole.Overall, I'm happy with the shoes. Even with buying insoles, they are less expensive than many of the "high-end" hiking boots and shoes available.
