My daughter wanted these. She is in the 7th grade. Cleans them, cares for them and only turns on the light function when they are not at school. They still parted at the sole. Pulled off the shoe. I had to tape them back. It is a pity. I don't expect a big brand to be superior but I do expect quality. She wants me to buy her a new pair, but I want her to wear my new Jordan and Puma and keep buying her better shoes.
