I've dreamed of Fiesta Ware for a long time, but I've been waiting for my kids to grow up because I thought they were being too rough on them when washing dishes. (My Pfaltzgraf set has chips on the rim of every plate and bowl! Grrrrr.) So I'm glad those nice big mugs and matching bread platters still exist. I make a lot of soups and stews that I serve with a salad or a sandwich, and these mugs and matching oval plates are a great way to serve them. The Jumbo Cup fits nicely on a bread tray and holds a "healthy" portion of soup, chilli or stew without overeating. ;-) There is enough space next to the mug for a scoop of coleslaw and a slice of cornbread, making for a great chili presentation. I have decor for a beach house, so I ordered mugs and trays in three different shades of blue: Peacock. , turquoise and lapis lazuli. These three colors look great together and make a beautiful table. So far they've proven to be fairly durable and haven't had any chipped edges despite the small kitchen sink surrounded by a granite countertop. Crossed fingers!
