Good with modifications

First of all, this mat is of good quality and looks durable. I got it not long ago but the fabric is good for rider and horse and the stitching is well done. I complain that for my small horse the girth provided was too big so I had to find one that actually fits him. While the idea of having stirrups sounds good, the way the stirrup buckles are made to go bareback over the pad means the buckles can come loose during riding and frankly make it difficult to balancing while riding bareback You try to lean on the stirrups and the pad slips sideways. Removing the stirrups and changing the girth made the pad look very nice but I would suggest finding this pad without the stirrups as I have just removed them and saved the girth for future use on another horse. I wanted the stirrups to be more secure while practicing bareback, but ultimately it's better to take a plain bareback pad and practice that way because the stirrups give you a false sense of security and actually make it LESS secure. for the rider.
