Review on Mounting Dream MD2380-24K: Full Motion TV Wall Mount for 26-55 Inch Flat Screen TVs, Dual Arm Bracket with Max VESA 400x400mm, Fits 16-24 Inch Studs by Chris Benton

Poor design but built like a tank

I'm not worried about it sliding off the wall - ever. But hanging it on the wall is a different story. Whoever designed this thing doesn't seem to understand the purpose of the slotted mounting holes on the wall plate. The standard US stud spacing is 16 inches. The purpose of the slotted mounting holes is to allow for some variation in that. The slots on the wall plate should be positioned so that the centers of the slots are 16" apart to allow for a 15.5" to 16.5" spacing between studs, for example. The slots on this bracket are positioned so that the extreme ends are 16 inches apart. If your studs are 15-16 inches apart, great! If they're 16.25 inches apart, you screwed up! Also, with the 400mm x 400mm VESA template, the plate that the TV hangs on leaves absolutely no room to align the TV side-to-side. Finally, the extension brackets (for bolt spacing up to 24 inches) are attached with screws inserted from the inside of the bracket, which is not easy to do with a hex wrench. They should be inserted outside of the bracket where the key can rotate freely.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Negative presence
